Dixon Harvey

Mr. Harvey was the CEO and a founding partner of The Sustainable Land Fund in 2006. He is also the CEO of Environmental Banc & Exchange, LLC (“EBX”), an environmental asset management company founded in 1997 and the President of Black Oak Associates, Inc., a real estate development company specializing in green development. Through EBX, Mr. Harvey has completed over 35 mitigation banks nationwide, renewed over 40 miles of streams, restored over 6,000 wetland acres and rehabilitated numerous other critical habitats. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Vermont, Mr. Harvey earned an MBA with a Finance concentration from Baltimore’s Loyola College.

Dara Hewat

Mr. Hewat was Director of Capital Markets for MuniMae from 2005 until his transfer into MMA Sustainable Land Investments in 2007 following the acquisition of the Sustainable Land Fund.  Prior to joining MuniMae, Mr. Hewat worked in the investment banking division of Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown (“DBAB”) in Baltimore. During his time at DBAB, Mr. Hewat worked on over $15 billion of transactions including acquisitions, public equity offerings and private placements. Mr. Hewat earned a BS in Finance and a minor in History from Virginia Tech.

Terrence G. Nolan

Mr. Nolan has more than a decade of experience as a lawyer and conservationist with broad expertise in structuring landscape size and urban conservation transactions.  After graduating Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE with a Juris Doctorate in 1995, Terrence served as a judicial law clerk in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas and then joined the private practice of law with a focus on real estate, trust and estates and nonprofit law.  In 1999 he joined The Trust for Public Land, a national nonprofit land trust with a mission to conserve land for people.  As a Senior Project Manager and then New Jersey State Director with TPL, Terrence directly managed the acquisition and permanent protection of more than 7,000 acres in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania with a fair market value of over $100 million.  Terrence’s expertise includes developing unique public/private funding partnerships to accomplish critical conservation priorities.  In 2006 he was selected by NJ Biz magazine as one of the top 40 professionals under 40 in the State of New Jersey. Terrence lives with his wife Shelby and two daughters, Felicia and Grace in the Hudson Valley of New York.

Badge Blackett

Mr. Blackett comes to MMA Sustainable Land Investments with more than twenty years of both for-profit and not-for-profit real estate experience.  Most recently, Mr. Blackett was the Director of Projects for the New England Region of The Trust for Public Land (TPL).  In his 16 years as Senior Project Manager with TPL, he managed acquisitions totaling more than $200 million, protecting more than 200,000 acres of the New England landscape.  For the six years prior to TPL, Mr. Blackett was a Partner and General Manager for East Commercial Wharf, LP, working on the redevelopment of Commercial Wharf on Boston’s Downtown waterfront.  Mr. Blackett is a graduate of Colorado College, and holds an MBA with concentrations in marketing and finance from Babson College.

Megan Targarona

Megan joined MuniMae in 2005 after graduating with a degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.  Prior to working with MMA Sustainable Land Investments, Megan was a Senior Analyst in the Treasury / Capital Markets group of MuniMae.  In that role, Megan worked in a variety of capacities including corporate capital allocation, project finance and transaction analysis.
